Question 1

What is WatchSense?

Accepted Answer

WatchSense is retail CRM software for shops and service businesses. It keeps every customer’s details, purchases and important dates, then sends birthday, anniversary, festival and follow-up messages on WhatsApp and email automatically.

Question 2

Which businesses can use it?

Accepted Answer

WatchSense supports 16 trades: watches, jewellery, eyewear, mobiles and electronics, fashion, furniture and other retail; salons, clinics, vehicles, repair centres, gyms and coaching; restaurants and hotels; and any other local business. The app uses your trade’s own words, such as patients, visits or treatments, and only shows the tools that fit.

Question 3

Is WatchSense only for watch shops?

Accepted Answer

No. It started in watch retail and now serves 16 industries. Battery and strap reminders are for watch shops only; every other industry has its own follow-up, such as a next-visit reminder after 30 days for salons.

Question 4

How is WatchSense different from Wati, Interakt or AiSensy?

Accepted Answer

Those are broad WhatsApp platforms built around broadcasts, chatbots and support inboxes. WatchSense is built around your customer records: it sends the right message on each customer’s birthday, anniversary, service date or next-visit date, in your industry’s own words. See our comparison pages for details.

Question 5

Do I need technical skills?

Accepted Answer

No. There is nothing to install. You sign in from a browser on a computer or phone, and the app has a sidebar on desktop and a tab bar on phones.

Question 6

Is WatchSense free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there is a Free plan for up to 100 customers and 100 WhatsApp messages a month, with no end date. Starter is ₹799 a month for up to 2,000 customers and Pro is ₹1,999 a month for up to 10,000. Every plan includes every tool your trade uses.

Question 7

Are there limits on messages or customers?

Accepted Answer

Each plan covers a number of customers and WhatsApp messages a month. If you reach the WhatsApp limit, scheduled messages wait for the next month instead of failing, and email is never limited. Adding customers beyond the limit is refused, but your sign-up form keeps taking leads.

Question 8

Do you charge for each WhatsApp message?

Accepted Answer

No. Meta charges for WhatsApp messages, and those charges go straight to your own WhatsApp Business account at Meta’s rates. WatchSense adds no markup.

Question 9

Can I switch on more tools later?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tags, message language, warranty tracking, the WhatsApp inbox, your own WhatsApp templates, job cards, review requests and revenue from campaigns are optional and stay off until an admin switches them on for your shop.

Question 10

Can I import my existing customers?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Import customers from Excel or CSV, including exports from billing or POS software: WatchSense recognises headers such as Party Name, Mobile No., Invoice Date and Amount. A row that cannot be added is reported and the rest still go in.

Question 11

How do new customers sign up?

Accepted Answer

With a QR code at your counter or a popup on your website. The sign-up form shows your logo and colours.

Question 12

What can I store about each customer?

Accepted Answer

Contact details, birthday and anniversary, and what each customer bought or booked: a watch, a device, a visit or a plan, depending on your industry. You can also add tags, a language and warranty end dates if you switch those tools on.

Question 13

Can I link customers to different branches?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Each customer can be linked to an outlet, and reports cover every branch.

Question 14

Can I track warranties?

Accepted Answer

Yes, if warranty tracking is switched on. Store warranty end dates and see a list of warranties ending soon.

Question 15

What messages does WatchSense send automatically?

Accepted Answer

Birthday, anniversary and festival messages, plus follow-up reminders. Each industry’s follow-up has its own name and timing, such as a service reminder after a year or a next-visit reminder after 30 days.

Question 16

Can I send a message to everyone right now?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Send now sends a campaign immediately to everyone eligible. You can also send a one-off manual alert to a group you choose, or aim a campaign at a tag such as VIP or bridal.

Question 17

Can I use my own WhatsApp message templates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Design a template with a live phone preview and send it to Meta for approval from inside WatchSense. You can keep working while a new Meta account is being reviewed. We email you the result, and campaigns switch to your template once it is approved.

Question 18

What happens if WhatsApp is not connected yet?

Accepted Answer

Messages that are due wait up to 72 hours for WhatsApp to be connected instead of failing straight away.
